About

Colour has always been at the centre of my art, from early textile designs to my most intricate mosaics. I’m drawn to strong, bold tones, experimenting with textures and blending to create movement. Working with ink, paint and then chalk taught me the power of layering, and glass felt like a natural next step due to its shifting appearance with light and shade.

When I work with glass, I start with an idea, but let the material guide me, blending shades and embedding other media to enhance the design. Though often called a mosaic artist, my approach is more like a mixed-media collage, combining freestyle with traditional techniques.

I’m excited to keep exploring vibrant, bold creations, learning new techniques, and refining my style. My art has taken me across the world, connecting me with inspiring people in fascinating countries and for that I feel truly fortunate.

I live in a small Hertfordshire village, where my garden studio is a tidy and very organised space for me to work. You'll almost always find me in there, accompanied by my two loyal (if not exactly practical) studio assistants: Lenny, the Scottish Terrier and Miss Celine (CeCe), a French Bulldog. They may not be much help with the mosaics, but they are excellent company.
